Biography (as of 29-06-2001): was born in Köln, Germany, in 1971. He studied physics at the University of Bonn and the RWTH Aachen, where he received his Diploma in Physics in 1997. In summer 1996 he held a visiting research position at Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico, for his master's thesis. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics in April 1998. In 1999 he was a visiting researcher at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. His scientific interests include device simulation, heterostructure device modeling, physically-based RF-parameter extraction, and reliability issues. | ||||
