Biography

Diana Pop, originally from Brasov, Romania, earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in applied physics from Transylvania University of Brasov. She furthered her education by earning a Master of Sciences degree in remote engineering and a Master of Arts degree through the IBM study program at FH Kärnten, Austria, in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively. Her professional journey began at FH Kärnten, where she served as a junior researcher and project management support until August 2012. During the years 2009 to 2011, Diana was associated with IEEE Women in Engineering and spent a research stint at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, in 2009. In 2012, she joined Infineon Technologies IT-GmbH as a member of the IT Junior Talent Program, contributing to the Unix R&D team in Klagenfurt. Following an 18-month program, Diana was recruited as a project coordinator for EU-funded projects in the Power Management and Marketing department at Infineon Technologies Austria, located in Villach. Currently, she serves as the project and administrative manager at the IµE, bringing over a decade of expertise in managing publicly and industry-funded projects. Her successful contributions include projects supported by prestigious entities such as the European Commission, Christian Doppler Gesellschaft, the Austrian Science Fond, and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency. Diana's role at the IµE involves overseeing the management and financial audits of European and nationally funded projects, handling administrative matters for the institute, organizing events and guiding the management and coordination of the team.
