3.3.1 Lattice Models

Alternatively to the fourth order approach, there are more elaborate models for free energy and structural transitions [WR97], [RW95] which are therefore closer to the actual physical properties, but are numerically even more expensive. This approach is used for the temperature dependent analysis of lattice structure and phase transitions.
