7.1 Single Particle Transport
In this section we study single particle quantum
mechanics and the various formulations of wave
mechanics. To model particle transport absorbing boundary
conditions have to be applied. These change the
character of the equation and time-reversibility is lost.
For the stationary case absorbing boundary conditions are
formulated for the Schrödinger, Riccati
and Prüfer equation and their numerical solution
is discussed.
