3.1.7 Gauß Random Design

The Gauß Random design is a special version of a Random design where the probability for the evaluations follows a normal distribution (see Appendix B.5). The Gauß distribution is used since experimental errors are often normal distributed to a good approximation. Furthermore, the assumption of a normal distribution simplifies many theorems and methods of data analysis.
