3.5.3 The Network-Model's Description

The definition of the network-model is depicted in Description 3.4. Each submodel entry defines a model within the network-model, either by explicitly describing it, or by importing its description from a file. These models will be referred to as submodels in the sequel in order to distinguish between the network-model itself and its incorporated components. Additionally to the description of the submodel, each Submodel description contains statements about its input ports (inputs) as well as its output ports (outputs). The submodel created by the corresponding statement is associated with a name derived from label. This name is used when one submodel refers to output ports of another one.
