New device concepts and related new lateral power semiconductor devices are analyzed and simulated in this thesis. Device simulations with advanced TCAD tools are essential to investigate the physical phenomena and electrical characteristics of new semiconductor structures. A brief overview and a short outline of the thesis are given in the chapter.
