Curriculum Vitae

Nadim Khalil was born on December 18, 1954, in Zouk Mikael, Lebanon. Throughout all of his elementary and secondary education he attended Champville Marist School at Dick-El-Mehdi, Lebanon. After receiving the Lebanese Baccaleaureate part II in June 1973, he enrolled at the American University of Beirut. In February 1978, he graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree (with distinction) and started work in the Process Control division of Honeywell International, Beirut. In September 1978, he entered the Graduate School of Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, USA) with an assistanship award. He received the degree of Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering in December 1979.

From March 1980 to August 1984 he was a software consultant with AIDI (SAL) based in Beirut, Lebanon. In August 1984 he was readmitted as a doctoral student at Louisiana State University where he also was employed as an instructor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In July 1985, he joined Digital Equipment Corporation, in Hudson, Massachussets (U.S.A.), where he is now a principal engineer in the TCAD/ULSI Operations Group.

In the Spring of 1992, he enrolled at the Institute of Microelectronics in the Technical University of Vienna, Austria where he is presently completing his Ph.D. degree.
